what it takes to stay organized

How to Stay Organized (long-term)

For a while I have been asking myself what it takes to STAY organized, you know for the long-haul.  I noticed in my work and in my life that many people, including myself, have such a hard time staying organized; you get everything organized and BAM! just a few months later, or a year later, its all back to a mess!

I knew there had to be a better way to stay organized!

I have been studying Feng Shui for many years and recently it just dawned on me that the key is making an emotional connection with your home.

What I mean by that is that in order to stay organized an emotional intention is created that results in the motivation to keep things organized.

So for instance, say you want to feel Healthy and Nourished in your Kitchen. Set the intention, i.e. “I intend to feel Healthy in Nourished in this Space“.

Write it down and keep it in a place where you can see it. This creates an emotional connection to this space which in turn brings in the energy that will help you create your kitchen completely around this intention.

From there you organize and declutter; you throw out anything that doesn’t align with your intention of feeling healthy and nourished.

Lastly, you decorate this space according to this intention as well.

This is what I call creating Sacred Space and it really works to help you stay organized and feel connected to your home.

I am really excited to share this with all of you! I will be going room by room in my video series sharing intentions and organizing and décor tips. The Kitchen will be happening this week so stay tuned…
